Contrary to what many users think, it is not very accurate when detecting wooden materials such as studs behind wall surfaces that are not made of drywall. The Walabot DIY is compatible with most Android phones with USB on The Go (OTG), including the Google Pixel line and Samsung Galaxy s5, s6, s7, s8, and s9. The device is not compatible with iPhones at this time. Although the product did not work for some users since it was incompatible with their phone, others found it to be a time saver and more accurate than generic stud finders. However, a recent review indicated that a CLOUD ACCOUNT or internet access is required to use the device, and it deactivated the device making it a useless brick.
