The system can be attached to a cold water supply, however, users are advised not to hook it up to their kitchen faucet due to the high risk of ruining the filter. The unit comes with an optional inline restrictor to reduce waste water by half, however, this also reduces the life of the filters by half. The unit operates best at 60 PSI or higher, although the lowest PSI it can operate at is 40 PSI. The filter removes fluoride from water.
