The Thule STL2 Snug-Tite Lock One Key System Locking Hitch Pin is a high quality locking bolt that replaces the traditional hitch pin. The bolt goes through the hitch and the portion sticks out, which is locked. This system prevents theft of the entire rack and keeps the bike rack sturdy. It is recommended to secure the entire rack and bikes by running a cable through the bikes and the holes already existing in the hitch assembly. It works well with Thule racks, including the Thule Trailway 992 and Expressway 944, however, it has not been tested with other brands of racks. It is easy to install and lock/unlock. One negative feedback suggests that it may not work if you drill another hole for the bolt.
