svar: I got this for a limited edition Red Wing booth per their advise. It is only a conditioner and need to use very little of it. A dab not bigger than large tear drop along with a lot vigorous brushing. -

svar: It will lightly soften the outer leather but that won't affect the break-in period. To soften the inner leather for a break in, you need steam. A long break-in may be uncomfortable but it means the shoe will last a long time, so bear with it!

The Red Wing Heritage Leather Cream Work Boot is a product designed to protect your work boots from damage and other agents of wear and tear. The formula is a conditioner only, and will thus preserve the original color of your boots. It also works well with most types of leather boots, including the Thorogood, and the daily application of this cream maintains the neat appearance of the boots. Users should use Fiebing's Saddle Soap to clean the boots regularly. Based on customer questions and reviews, this product is easy to use and provides the expected results. It does not darken the leather or change the color of the boots, making users happy with the outcome. On the other hand, it lightly softens the outer leather of the boots, but it does not affect the break-in time.
