Xenon Racer - Nintendo Switch Xenon Racer is an arcade racing game that harkens back to the days of Ridge Racer. The gameplay revolves around drifting and turning by combining brake and hand brake taps. Once you get the hang of it, the game can be quite fun and rewarding. However, be prepared for a challenge, as the game is notoriously difficult and may require setting the difficulty to "Easy" for some players. One of the main criticisms of Xenon Racer is its graphics. While they are serviceable, they lack the polish and detail of other racing games. The game also suffers from poor AI, which can detract from the overall experience. Additionally, the tracks are poorly designed and can be hard to navigate, especially on the Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately, the Switch version of the game seems to have some serious technical issues. There is severe input lag, low-resolution textures, Constant texture loading, and significant pop-in. The frame rate can drop below 20FPS, making it one of the worst port jobs to the system. Overall, Xenon Racer may appeal to fans of arcade racing games, specifically those who enjoyed Ridge Racer. However, the game's difficulty, lackluster graphics, and technical issues on the Nintendo Switch make it a less-than-stellar racing experience.
