svar: In a 12 cube arrangement, you'll have 12 cubes with backs, sides, & tops & bottoms (43 total). There are enough connectors to connect together each cube. 40 in a 12 cube arrangement. (There are usually a few extra connectors given) -

Is there a way to attach another shelf inside the cubbie, so you can put more shoes in each cubbie?
svar: Yes, another shelf fits. There are accessories, you can purchase to do that. You can use zip ties also. -

svar: Less than 5 lbs per cube. It's not very high and is NOT a good idea to be used for a bunch of books, binders, etc. It's meant for 1 basketball roughly in each cube. The picture shown is not reality. -
