It comes with a sleeve dipole antenna tuned to 1090 MHz, a well-Constructed SDR dongle, and an industrial microSD card pre-configured to work with a raspberry pi. Reviewers have found it pretty much identical to the FA Blue Stick. The device does not actively interrogate, so using it excessively would not make transponders stop working. It is not recommended for use with Raspberry Pi 2, but Raspberry Pi 3 or later models work well, particularly the Pi4, though there may be some thermal management issues. Although the included software is for use with Raspberry pi 3 or 4, it can be used on windows, provided users have their own software. The dongle does not have bias for active antennas, and it has a built-in 1090 MHz filter but can receive frequencies between 500 kHz and 1.75 GHz.
