svar: I like these boots very much. For me, they are true to size with any sort of socks. I do not have high arch, my feet are flat as pancakes. I find these boots most comfortable and wear them for hours without foot pain. -

svar: I think this boot is more about warmth and being waterproof than for traction....the traction is okay, but doesn't seem to be one of the selling points of this boot. Keen probably makes another boot for traction in the snow/ice. Good Luck.

The KEEN Women's Chester Casual Boots are not waterproof and have poor quality. They tend to be difficult to put on, especially for those with a high instep. The boots have little arch support and the fuzzy lining only covers the top. They may require some breaking in but are generally well-made. Some customers found the boots to be too small or narrow. Others wished they had a zipper for easier wear. The boots are not suitable for very cold weather. Overall, while the style is cute, these boots have several drawbacks.
