Action & Adventure Editorial Review
The WWE: SummerSlam 2018 DVD has garnered a range of opinions from wrestling fans, highlighting a mix of strong matches and moments of disappointment. Fans appreciate the nostalgia and excitement that WWE events typically bring, and this installment is no exception. The event featured some significant moments, including Seth Rollins reclaiming the Intercontinental Championship and Charlotte Flair's victory that showcased her as a major player in the women's division. The unexpected heel turn of Becky Lynch was also a talking point among viewers, stirring conversations about storyline direction. While some matches left fans wanting more, such as the disqualification in the Smackdown Tag Team Championship match and critiques on pacing, the overall reception remains positive. Viewers found the DVD enjoyable enough to recommend for casual viewing, particularly for longtime fans of the wrestling franchise. The excitement of the matches, unexpected plot twists, and classic encounters between some of the sport’s biggest names contribute to a celebration of wrestling culture. Despite some criticism regarding certain match outcomes and pacing, the DVD is seen as a valuable addition to any wrestling fan's collection, making SummerSlam 2018 a solid release for those keen to relive the thrills of that summer's wrestling spectacle. **
