It is made of metal and does not come with a battery, so you will need to purchase a 12V battery separately. It does not come with a downspout bracket, but it works fine with the downspout you may already have. However, there have been some complaints about the product not matching the advertised picture, with missing parts like the horizontal plate and funnel.
