The phono stage is exceptional, and it is beautiful with sides finished in piano black and retro VU meters. The amp is a warm-sounding and unparalleled, with a lack of basic features found on much less expensive brands. However, the user guide is somewhat confusing, and the remote control buttons lack illumination. The volume knob does not have an LED light, making it difficult to visually determine the volume level. The product is recommended new and not used, so buy it from a reliable seller. When setting up, ensure the product received is marked 2020 or newer with a sticker indicating the year of the unit, as various similar-looking models are available in the A-S 1000/1100/1200 series.
