Bought my cv-30d, 310 in 02-2019. used it for the first time yesterday (11-2019). reel wont take up line. the line guide just moves back & forth. why?
svar: I would check the star and make sure the drag is tightened. If the star drag is tightened and the guide is moving back and forth, the spool will be turning as well. If line is not picking up when the drag is tightened and the spool is engaged, using braided line without any backing will cause the line to slip around the arbor of the spool when any tension is applied. -
