    svar: Yes it should. The drain measures closer to 11.5 inches than 12 and there is an industry standard size for these drains.

    svar: It is plastic and I do not know if they sell a metal one.

    svar: Smaller debris could get into the basin, but the cover keeps larger leaves from clogging it up.
